Canada’s capital city
Canada’s capital city is Ottawa, with its most developed city being Toronto, as well as the country’s main urban areas comprising Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Quebec City, Winnipeg and Hamilton. Canada has been inhabited by many Aboriginal people for centuries.
In the early 16th century, the British and French were asserting their authority over this place, due to which the French established the Colony of Canada for the first time in 1537. As a result of many conflicts, the United Kingdom took possession of it and even lost some territories of British North America, at the end of the 18th century Canada was mainly counted in terms of vast geographical terms.
According to the British North-America Act , on July 1, 1867, the Canadian colony, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia were merged to form the Federal Dominion of Canada. This led to an increase in the provinces and under the self-governing government, the present 10 provinces and 3 territories were merged to form the present Canada.
Canada achieved complete independence from the United Kingdom in 1931 with the Act of Westminster (1931), and when the Canada Act of 1982 was repealed, sovereignty also arrived in the country and Canada was dependent on the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The practice also came to an end.

The transformation of British colonization in about the eighteenth century marked the beginning of British rule in Canada, which lasted until 1867. In the sixteenth century, Humphrey Gilbert, a confidant of Queen Elizabeth I of England, chose a place called ‘New Foundland’ in the continent of North America as the main place of British rule, which comes under Canada.
From where trade activities usually took place between the British government and North America, following this, further French, Portuguese people also made every effort to strengthen their trade relations here.
The result of all this was that a total of more than 13 colonial sites developed in New Foundland and the nearby region, which was an early attempt to push Canada under British rule and they were successful in this. But as much as the colonial movement was in Canada, almost the same atmosphere was in the neighboring country of United North America.
Revolution
But the US state revolution and the opposition of the general public to the British rule had heated up the atmosphere very much. Almost all the neighboring countries were strongly opposed to British colonization, in which Canada stood with America with strong intentions.
The total result of this was that British colonization in the North American continent was dismissed from some countries, along with new agreements for border security were also prepared. In which further a boundary agreement was signed between the United States and Canada and independent borders were created.
The world’s highest boundary line is present between Canada and the United States, which is known as the ‘Parallel 49 Boundary’. Due to this, after the end of British colonization from Canada, an independent constitutional Canadian country was declared, in which Canada became an independent country on 1 July 1867.
